Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Lange has been practicing veterinary medicine for the past 30 years. He has served the needs of pets and their owners in the greater St. Charles area along with surrounding counties. He deals in companion animal medicine (primarily dogs and cats) but also deals with exotics like ferrets, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, rats and the like, as well as birds.
Dr. Lange is a 1975 graduate of the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Zoology. In 1981, he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association. In his spare time, he enjoys running, swimming and bicycling. He is grateful for the wonderful pets he has met and the great owners that come to him at Elm Point Animal Hospital.
Owner and Veterinarian
Dr. Little has been practicing veterinary medicine for the past 15 years in the St. Charles community. Although Dr. Little grew up on an Angus cattle and row crop farm in Northeast Missouri, his interests have always been small animal medicine and surgery.
In 1993, Dr. Little received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri in Biochemistry. In 1998, he graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri Veterinary Teaching Hospital. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, daughter and two cats Ruger and Parasite (Paris) Hilton Little, as well as traveling, volleyball, and Cardinals’ games. Dr. Little enjoys communicating and forming relationships with clients and their pets at Elm Point Animal Hospital. He is also an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Mark Petty comes to Elm Point Animal Hospital with three years of experience in small animal medicine. He was born in Florissant Missouri and has served the St. Louis and St. Charles community by providing preventative care and therapeutic treatment to pets in need. He is eager to form lasting bonds with the people and pets of Elm Point Animal Hospital and is excited to be part of the team.
Dr. Petty graduated from the University of Missouri St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in biology in 2006 and received his veterinary education from the Royal Veterinary College of London in England in 2012. His area of focus is emergency medicine, but outside of work, he is an enthusiastic painter and drawer. He also enjoys hiking and mushroom hunting. Dr. Petty has always had pets with him, and currently, has too many cats to count.
Dr. Brittany Hofman is the newest addition to the professional staff at Elm Point Animal Hospital. She recently earned her D.V.M. degree from the University of Missouri. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and Missouri Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Hofman is the daughter of John and Mary Hofman and grew up in the St. Charles area with her older sister (Molly) and two younger brothers (Jimmy and Bobby). Dr. Hofman was raised amidst a menagerie of pets! Dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, and even a chameleon were some of her earliest patients and inspired her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Hofman attended St. Joseph elementary school, Villa Duchesne high school, and the University of Missouri – Columbia for undergraduate and veterinary school. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority at Mizzou and the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity where she served as the chapter’s Vice President of Service.
Dr. Hofman lives in the St. Charles area with her goofy Golden Retriever Finley and her orange Domestic Shorthair cat named Tigs. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, running with her dog, biking, water skiing, snowboarding, traveling, tennis and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Her areas of special interest include dentistry, surgery, and wound healing. Dr. Hofman is thrilled to be joining such a great community and is looking forward to caring for your beloved pet with professionalism and compassion.
